Nutrient Management Scheme
The current emphasis on environmental considerations and with increases in the price of fertiliser, means that nutrients applied to soils need to be correctly targeted to soil and crop requirements. Consequently the Trustees have approved awards aimed at improving the efficiency of fertiliser utilisation through a combination of practical support towards the costs associated with soil sampling, together with training to ensure farmers can interpret the results of soil analysis. There is funding of £60 available for soil analysis, on a minimum of 8 samples, per farm business.Downloads
